Sømliøya is rented as a whole — when you come, the island is yours.
There is no booking calendar and no fixed packages. Every stay starts with a conversation: tell us your dates, how many of you there are, and what you hope the island can be. We will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Write to us
Send an enquiry with your dates, group size and what you have in mind — a quiet retreat, a family gathering, a celebration, a ritual. We reply within a day or two.

Shape the stay
We help you plan the practical side: boat transfer, what to bring, food, firewood, and anything you want prepared before you arrive.

Arrive and slow down
A short boat trip brings you across Årsetfjorden. From the moment you step ashore, the island — and its pace — is yours.
Practical Details
The island is intentionally simple. Stays are self-catered: the main house has a large shared kitchen, and meals tend to happen around the fire or the long table.
Getting here: the nearest airports are Rørvik and Namsos; Trondheim is around three hours away by car. The boat crossing from the mainland is short, and we will arrange it with you.

- Simple bedrooms across two buildings, with space to pitch tents for larger groups.

- From a single day to a full week. Weekends are the most requested — enquire early.

- Shared kitchen, living room with fireplace, hot showers, workshop space for groups and retreats.
- Getting here
- Short boat transfer across the fjord, arranged together with us when you book.
Rates
Rates depend on the season, the length of your stay and the size of your group. Tell us your dates and we will send you a clear quote — no hidden costs, no fine print.
A day visit is priced differently from an overnight stay, and longer stays are priced kindly.
